Connecticut Fish Stocking Scheduled for APRIL 6

WHAT:                                Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) Commissioner Robert Klee and Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin join students from Hartford’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School stocking trout at Keney Park Pond, in preparation for Opening Day of Fishing.

Approximately 70 students (3rd and 4th graders) from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School join DEEP Commissioner Robert Klee, Hartford Mayor Luke Bronin, DEEP staff and volunteers to stock trout at Keney Park Pond for Opening Day of Fishing, Saturday, April 9, 2016. Town and school officials will also attend.
 
DEEP will stock over 341,000 trout in waters across the state in time for Opening Day on April 9.  Nearly 100 lakes and ponds and 190 rivers and streams are scheduled for stocking.
